Becoming the Bride of Christ: A Personal Journey Volume Five by Marilynn Dawson

This book can be read as an account of the lessons God’s actively teaching me, or it can be engaged in as a personal or group Bible study.

There is quite a bit of Scripture in every chapter, as well as questions to help a person appropriate these lessons into their own life.

One of my goals is to share a story that men as well as women can read and glean from. Too often it seems presentations on the Bride of Christ have been geared toward women when Scripture says the Church, who is referred to as the Bride of Christ, is made up of men and women. I write from a women’s perspective of course, but it’s my desire that men will be able to gather helpful insight, not just women. After all, we are all called to live out the commands of Christ in our everyday life.

Will you join me as we learn to live this journey of Faith as the Bride of Christ in everyday life? Continue reading

Spiritual Whispers to the Soul by Heather Wright

Spiritual Whispers to the Soul is my first collection of poetry published by my newly created self-publishing company, Colorful Spirit Publishing. This book has been in the works for quite some time now, and it reflects the very essence of my heart and soul. Just like so many people, I have endured some of the hardest times in my life and could not understand why God would allow me to struggle so much. Even though God has blessed me with a wonderful family, good friends, and abundance in terms of work and other opportunities, my path has not always been an easy one. As I look back over the history of writing these poems, I was inspired to write about so many different experiences God wanted me to go through. In fact, it has been through my struggles and the writing of these poems, that I have grown closer to God and become an even stronger spiritual soul.

It is my hope that, as you read my poetry collection, that you will find the spiritual strength you have been seeking to face hard times and to know that you are not alone. I promise you that there is a poem in this collection that covers so many aspects of human suffering, and yet through God’s guidance, He helped me to discover through my own life lessons, how to convey my own spiritual truths to all of you as well as the valuable lessons I have learned along the way.

As you read Spiritual Whispers to the Soul, I truly do have faith that you will hear spiritual wisdom echoed through practical experiences as well as feel encouraged knowing that you are not alone in your struggles. My prayer is that these poems offer much faith, hope, love, inspiration, encouragement, and healing to your own soul that is in need for guidance. I also hope these poems help you embrace your own destiny and learn valuable truths on your own journey in life.

Enjoy, my friends, and keep the faith. These spiritual whispers echoed in the art of poetry I have come to love so much is for you. Continue reading

The Hidden Life: Finding out why you matter by David Megill

Sometimes it’s as if the life we’ve been seeking has managed to elude us. We wake up and ask ourselves, “Is this what life is all about?” Life has not turned out exactly the way we expected or hoped. We were promised certain things, by parents, culture, by church, and, as Christians believe, by Christ Himself. Were we lied to? Did we misunderstand the promises? Scripture actually tells us the truth: that life is hidden, not always obvious. This book shares one pastor’s story of walking through such disappointment and the principles of hope he learned. Along the way, we explore the nature of the Hidden life and where to find it, and embracing the Incredible GIFT of God. (Grace, Identity, Faith and Training) At least once in their life everyone thinks they are a failure. Through the counseling and conferences of the last 20 years, I have been able to see people who were stuck in their past, mired in their failures, or simply run out of steam, catch a fresh take on life and find confidence of the God they’d always been hoping existed; a God who truly loves them and needs no cajoling to bless. No one’s life will be “fixed” by reading this book, but this book will give people hope. Hope can transform burden to freedom, despair to faith. Such faith and hope can turn ones eyes back to a God who does save and redeem and to the revelation of the hidden life.

The Evil Genius: Who can Stop Him? by Kudakwashe Muzira

Science and the Bible are good things, but in the hands of an evil genius, they are deadly weapons. He is well-known as a man of God but he is actually a mafia godfather who uses his knowledge of science and scripture to rob, rape, kidnap and kill. His name is Munokori but he calls himself The Thirteenth Disciple.
People come to Munokori to see miracles and signs of God’s power and Munokori gives them what they want… for a price. With the help of criminals, he cunningly performs amazing ‘miracles’ to show that he is a messenger of God. He has a huge following among the poor and the uneducated. However, his religious web does not only catch the ignorant—it sometimes ensnares university graduates, prominent members of society and even celebrities.
Itai, a young electronics technician, has fallen desperately in love with the beautiful Chipo. He asks Munokori to help him win Chipo’s heart. Munokori prays for Itai, asking God to help Itai win Chipo’s hand in marriage. Itai goes home a happy man. But Munokori also wants Chipo and plans to use Itai as a pawn.
